Theatre Shop Assistant/O.C. Visual and Performing Arts Department

This position is for Work Study Qualified Student Workers

Duties: Assist in the construction of stage scenery, the upkeep of O,C. Scene Shop and storage locations, and the support of O.C. speacial events.

Hours: 6-12 hours weekely, maximum of 19.5 per any week. Afternoon hours are preferred, Saturday hours available during peak work weeks.

Location: The Globe Theatre is located on the south side of campus betweek The Century Commons Student Housing and The Shcool of Culinary Arts.

Requirments: Knowledge of basic hand tools and wood construction methods and/or painting. Will train.

SLR – Job Advertisement – Part-Time Staffer

Job Summary

Your role will be to help and guide Odessa College students and community users who visit the Student Learning Resources (SLR) department facilities with a sincere smile and an enthusiasm for customer service.

As a supportive and interactive resource, you are dedicated to empowering our users to turn mild interest or budding ideas into intensely focused innovation, and invite others to imagine, create, grow, build, explore, collaborate, and realize their innovative dreams and ideas.

Additionally, you will deliver support to your fellow SLR employees through dedicated attention to detail, awareness of time demands, and adaptability.

Hours TTH evenings: 5:30-10pm

Duties: Building Supervision, Instuctor assistant if needed, computer/troubleshooting, Customer service needs to patrons of the building, general computer and office equipment skills

Records Office Clerk/ Student Worker   19/Week Work Study and Non-Work Study

Job Description: Responsible for answering multiple phone lines, scanning, filing, document reviews, picking up and delivery of mail, and various office projects, as needed.

Requirements: Dependable, self-motivated, professional and ambitious student with high attention to detail, great customer service skills and phone etiquette, some computer and office experience preferred. 

Shift Available: 18/Spring Semester Monday – Thursday 8:00-5:30 and/or Friday 8:00-1:00; shifts flexible based on student’s course schedule; 19 hours per week maximum
