College Life Coach

A College Life Coach (CLC) is someone who serves as an added layer of support to ensure students are successful on their journey to achieving their overall goal. Communication is key in making sure students have access to tools, support, and staff members so that every student’s college life experience is a success.

Common topics to discuss with a CLC:

  • Getting started with classes online or in-person
  • Tips for connecting on campus and making good grades
  • Finding resources on campus (financial aid, tutoring, Wrangler Food Pantry, etc.)
  • Questions about anything pertaining to college life

Meet your College Life Coaches!

HeidiBuley.jpgHeidi Buley, College Life Coach, has spent the past five years serving and mentoring college students in the state of Texas! After growing up in Kentucky, Heidi earned a bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude, Distinguished, from Baylor University, and is a current MA candidate at the University of Central Florida. Before joining OC, Heidi worked as a theatre teacher, horse trainer, and on Baylor University’s residence life staff. She loves theatre and music and acts in several plays and movies each year! Heidi and her husband, Stephen, live with their Great Dane puppy in southern Italy as a military family.


AngelaDisley.jpgAngela Disley, College Life Coach, began her career with Odessa College in 2019. She was born and raised in Odessa, Texas and attended OC as a student. Angela completed her bachelor’s degree in Business at the University of Texas Permian Basin. After becoming a teacher, she completed her master’s degree in education at the University of Kansas. Angela is married and has two sons who are her joy! Her family enjoys spending time at hockey games, soccer games, and at the lake in the summers. They currently live part of the time in Odessa and the other part at the lake house as they make the transition to be a full-time lake family.


AndreaGarcia.jpgAndrea Garcia, College Life Coach, as of October 2020. Andrea has lived in Odessa for 16 years and attended Odessa College directly out of. She graduated from Sul Ross State University in the big town of Alpine, TX, with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. She has had the privilege of working with various local nonprofit entities that serve the Permian Basin area over a span of 7 years. Happiest when spending time with her beautiful family, Andrea has an amazing husband, two wonderful kids, and a loveable dog Taco.


CLCHeadshots-Andrew.jpgAndrew Sabonis-Chafee, College Life Coach, is so excited to begin his time with Odessa College! After growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, Andrew earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre, Magna Cum Laude and Distinguished, from Baylor University. Before joining OC, Andrew worked as a college recruitment officer, high-school student mentor, and many assorted jobs in the theatre. He most enjoys spending his time outdoors or with his nose in a good book or movie. He is currently living in Atlanta, Georgia. He is grateful to be a part of the Odessa community even from so far away!

Brianna Urias, College Life Coach, joined the Odessa College team in November 2020. Brianna grew up in Amarillo, TX and earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from West Texas A&M University. She moved to Odessa in January of 2014 to begin her career as a teacher for ECISD. She taught for 5 yearsand earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership at UTPB. Brianna is married to her best friend, has three beautiful children, and one spoiled grandbaby. She loves spending time with her little family, attending church at Mid-Cities, and running her side businesses during her free time. She is excited to collaborate and grow within the Odessa College Community!

Chelsey Molineaux, College Life Coach, started working at Odessa College in January 2021. Before joining Odessa, she was a School Counselor in Philadelphia, PA. Chelsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University and has earned her Master of Science in Education from The University of Pennsylvania. Chelsey currently resides in South Jersey, where she enjoys spending time with her dog, friends and family.  She also enjoys backyard gardening and floral designing.
