CLEP Exam
The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests allow students to acquire college credit for advanced knowledge in a wide variety of academic subjects. Be sure the visit the CLEP College Credit Policy for more information the Odessa College CLEP policy.
CLEP Exams and Course Equivalents
To receive credit on your Odessa College transcript, the OC Records Office must be the official recipient of the exam scores from the College Board. To verify that OC has received your CLEP scores, please contact the Records Office at 432-335-6404 or records@odessa.edu.
CLEP Testing at Odessa College
- Visit https://clep.collegeboard.org/ to register and pay for the actual exam you would like to take. CLEP will charge $97.00 per exam and can be paid by credit card or debit card directly through their website.
- After you register with CLEP, you will need to visit the OC Testing Center Marketplace to pay the $20.00 proctor fee, or you may pay this fee with cash or card on test day.
- Once we receive your Marketplace order, we will contact you to set your appointment time/date for your exam. If you are paying in person, you may contact the testing center to set your appointment.
- Please be sure to bring your admission ticket with you on test day.
DANTES/DSST Exam Testing
As form of prior learning assessment, DSST exams allow you to earn college credits by passing an exam outside the traditional classroom.
Choose from more than 30 subject exams in disciplines such as Business, Humanities, Mathematics, Physical Science, Technology and more. New exams are added all the time. All exams have been evaluated and recommended for credit by the American Council on Education (ACE).
As an active duty, guard or reserve military member, your first attempt on any DSST exam is funded by DANTES, so don’t delay! Start earning college credit now to save time, save money and graduate sooner.
DSST Testing at Odessa College
- Visit www.getcollegecredit.com to register and pay for the exact exam you would like to take. If you do not qualify for the fully funded DANTES, there is a fee for each DSST exam that will be paid upon registration and can be paid by credit card or debit card directly through their website.
- After you register with DSST you will need to visit the OC Testing Center Marketplace to pay the $20.00 proctor fee.
- Once your Marketplace order has been received you will be contacted by a Testing Center Representative to set your appointment time/date for your exam.
