Occupational Safety & Environmental Technology

The Occupational Health and Safety degree at Odessa College focuses on providing students with a strong foundation in risk management, job hazard analysis, personnel training, and safety plan development. Completing this program allows students to apply for entry-level positions as health and safety technicians and consultants. OSET students work with highly experienced health, safety, and emergency management faculty and can access the latest tools and technology.

Students who then enter the ExxonMobil BAAS Leadership and Management - Occupational Health and Safety Management program will develop the skills to manage safer workplaces, ensure employees' occupational health, conduct management system audits, and guide operations on industrial hazards. Students will learn to create and apply safety and health management standards through critical thinking, experiential innovation-based projects, leadership/communication, and problem-solving skills. Completing this program will allow students to advance into leadership roles within their chosen career field.
