High School + College

Early college high schools are designed to remove major barriers to postsecondary educational access and success. By providing early, continuous and tuition-free immersion in a college learning environment as part of the high school experience, early college high schools close the financial and resource gaps that prevent many students from attending college. Student who take advantage of the opportunity provided by an early college high school – becoming part of a college-going culture and earning either an associate’s degree or 60 hours of college credit towards a bachelor’s degree.


Odessa Collegiate Academy (OCA)

Odessa College is now home to Odessa Collegiate Academy (OCA). Students attending OCA will earn an associate’s degree along with a seamless pathway for completing a bachelor’s degree at a four-year university. OCA is the high school of choice for 400 students, freshman through seniors.

Odessa Career & Technical Early College High School (OCTECHS)

Odessa College is home to Odessa Career & Technical Early College High School (OCTECHS). In 2015, OCTECHS was one of only four new ECHS campuses with a career and technical education (CTE) focus. It was designed as part of the tri-agency CTE ECHS initiative by the Texas Education Agency, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and Texas Workforce Commission. OCTECHS is the high school of choice for 400 students, freshman through seniors.  OCTECHS graduates can continue their higher education pursuits at Odessa College in the BAAS programs.

Application Information

OCA Application

Students wanting to attend OCA must complete an application for the following school year. Each year OCA accepts 125 students for the freshmen class.  OCA also accepts a small number of sophomore students each year based on their application, freshmen transcript, and number of sophomore openings.


OCTECHS Application

Students wanting to attend OCTECHS must complete an application for the upcoming school year. Each year OCTECHS accepts 125 students for the freshmen class.  Due to the nature of the program courses, OCTECHS only accepts incoming freshmen.


Odessa College Application (ApplyTexas.org)

Set-up a profile using an email address you can access. Choose 2-year college application and select Odessa College. Fill in biographical information. Next, select new application, choose Fall semester. Choose Odessa Collegiate Academy, OCTECHS, or Dual Credit option(s).

Wrangler Portal

Wrangler Self-Service serves as a gateway to access all Odessa College student information including:

  • Student Planner:Plan your degree, register for classes and check your grades. You can also monitor your pace and progress toward your degree in preparation for graduation;
  • Transcripts:Request a mailed transcript to be sent to a college or university, to an employer, or to yourself.

Username: For students, your username will be the initials of your first & last name followed by your OC ID number without the leading zeros. (ex, Name: John Doe & student ID is 00123456 then your username = jd123456.)

Password: Your password will be the lowercase characters "oc" plus the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN). (ex, SSN = 123-45-6789, password = oc6789)
