Senate Bill 8 | Texas Women’s Privacy Act

In accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 3002, Odessa College has designated all multi-occupancy restrooms and locker rooms for use based on biological sex. Single-occupancy and family restrooms are available throughout campus for anyone’s use.

Facility restrooms will be identified as follows:

Women’s Restroom
Designated for Use by Biological Females
Family and Single-Occupancy Restrooms Available Nearby

Men’s Restroom
Designated for Use by Biological Males
Family and Single-Occupancy Restrooms Available Nearby

Single Occupancy &/or Family Restroom
Open to all students, employees, and visitors

Texas Government Code Chapter 3002 requires institutions of higher education to designate multi-occupancy restrooms and locker rooms by biological sex.

Yes. Odessa College provides single-occupancy and family restrooms available for anyone’s use.

No. Single-occupancy restrooms remain available to all.

Yes. Children nine years old or younger may enter an opposite-sex restroom when accompanied by a caregiver.

Staff will redirect individuals to single-occupancy facilities as needed. Campus Police may assist if safety is involved.
