Odessa College in conjunction with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is pleased to offer our students a pathway to obtain your Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in as little as 3 years. This pathway begins at Odessa College and will finish with you receiving a BSN at TTUHSC. We are here to support and guide our nursing students and look forward to assisting you reach all of your nursing goals.

Through the partnership between Odessa College and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), students who complete Odessa College’s RN program and obtain RN licensure can transition seamlessly into an online post-licensure RN-BSN program at TTUHSC. This pathway allows students to build on their existing nursing education and clinical experience while completing advanced coursework required for the BSN.

The RN-BSN program is designed for working nurses and typically offers flexible, online coursework that focuses on leadership, population health, evidence-based practice, and professional nursing roles—helping nurses expand career opportunities and prepare for graduate education.

Nursing education includes several pathways, depending on where a student is starting and their career goals.
  • An RN (Registered Nurse) is a licensed nurse who has completed an approved nursing program and passed the NCLEX-RN, the national licensing exam required to practice as a registered nurse.
  • A BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is a four-year nursing degree. Students in a traditional BSN program complete their nursing coursework and then sit for the NCLEX-RN to become licensed as a Registered Nurse.
  • An RN-BSN program is designed specifically for licensed RNs who have already passed the NCLEX-RN and want to continue their education without repeating entry-level nursing courses.
