What is Kinesiology
Field of study focused on human movement and its impact on well-being. Our programs provide a foundation in the science of movement, leading to careers in teaching, coaching, sports medicine and exercise science. You will gain knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and the effects of physical activity, nutrition, and other factors on health and fitness.

Why Kinesiology at OC?
Provide knowledge and understanding of how human movement improves well-being. Prepares students for careers in teaching/coaching sports medicine and Exercise and sports science. We offer a blend of hands-on instruction from dedicated faculty to help students build careers in Kinesiology. Part of our School of Health Sciences. Diverse careers opportunities and such a growth and need in this field.

- Kinesiology: Exercise and Sports Science A.S
- Kinesiology: Physical and Health Education Teaching/Coaching A.S
- Kinesiology: Sports Medicine A.S
- Diverse Coursework: A wide range of classes designed to build foundational knowledge and practical skills in kinesiology.

- Exercise Physiologist, Personal Trainer, Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Sports
Coach, and Sports Nutritionist
- Graduates can also work in management as a Fitness Manager or Athletic Director, or in roles focusing on specific populations like a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist or Cancer Exercise Specialist.
- Exercise Physiologist, Personal Trainer, Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Sports
Coach, and Sports Nutritionist
- KINE PE Teaching/Coaching
- Can lead to a variety of careers in education, sports fitness, and health such as PE teacher, athletic director, coaching (Elem, middle school, high school, higher education), athletic coordinator etc.
- KINE Sports Med
- Can lead to careers in athletic training or occupational therapists.
