Commercial Motor Vehicle Refresher

Driving a commercial truck is hectic work, and as a CDL holder, you already know that. If you don't use your CDL for a period, it’s easy to forget skills and laws that dictate your time on the road. Unfortunately, if drivers go too long without driving a truck, companies may hesitate to hire you – but a CDL refresher course is the solution.

Odessa College Truck Driving Academy offers a 4-day (up to 20-hours) CDL program designed for individuals that hold a current Class A, CDL license and want to refresh their driving and backing skills and go back to work.


Requirements:

  • Must hold a current Class A, CDL license
  • Must be a returning Odessa College Truck Driving Academy Student

  • Duration: 4 Days
  • By appointment only
  • Cost: $885.00 
  • Hours: Up to 20 hours
  • Prerequisite: Valid Texas Commercial Class "A" License 
  • Classes:
    • Classroom/Drive Time – MONDAY-THURSDAY 8am-12pm

What do I need to register?

  • Valid Texas Commercial Driver License Class A
  • Continuing Education Class Registration
  • Truck Driving Code of Conduct/Dress Code

Fridays: 8am-1pm


Note: Removal of Restriction (CDL-“E”), if a student previously attended the Odessa College CDL Course, that student will mainly train on driving and backing skills.
