Odessa, Texas— Odessa College is thrilled to unveil its 2025 Summer Camps lineup, offering an exciting array of programs designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and promote active lifestyles among youth aged 5 to 17. Running from June 2 through August 1, these camps provide a unique opportunity for children to explore new interests, develop skills, and make lasting memories.
Diverse Camp Offerings for Every Interest
This summer, campers can choose from a wide variety of engaging programs:
- Archery: Learn the fundamentals of archery and aim for the bull's-eye. Ages 8-12.
- Astronomy 101: Explore constellations, planets, and the night sky, including a field trip to The Museum of the Southwest Planetarium. Ages 8-12.
- Bugs and Blooms Nature Camp: Discover the wonders of nature through planting, journaling, and a visit to the Sibley Nature Center. Ages 7-10.
- Bullet Journaling: Master mindfulness and organization by creating personalized journals. Ages 9-12.
- Camp Runamuckus: Sports, games, fun, field trips, and swimming will keep campers active all day. Ages 6-12
- Chess 101: Develop strategic thinking with beginner-level chess instruction. Ages 8-12.
- Concept Art – NEW CAMP! Learn to design your own creatures, characters, and environments in this creative camp. Campers will also learn digital art techniques and receive a sketchbook and a drawing set. Ages: 13-17.
- Conversational Spanish: Engage in Spanish through music, storytelling, and crafts. Ages 7-12.
- Drone Camp – NEW CAMP! Learn how to operate a mini drone and complete flying obstacle courses. Take home your very own drone! Ages: 13-17.
- Fab Academy: Dive into digital design and fabrication using 3D printers and laser cutters, culminating in take-home projects. Ages 9-12.
- Junior Medics Academy – NEW CAMP! Learn exciting, hands-on basic first aid, safety and emergency response skills and get insights from local first responders and healthcare professionals. Ages 8-12.
- Science of Astronomy: Delve into the science and math of astronomy, including building a personal space station. Ages 12-16.
- Scrapbooking: Create personalized scrapbooks using various materials and techniques. Ages 9-12.
- Snack Attack: Prepare healthy and fun snacks with guidance from OC Culinary Arts. Ages 9-14.
- Soccer – NEW CAMP! Campers will learn the rules, run skills and conditioning drills, and play practice games as a team. Ages 8-12.
- Tech Camp – NEW CAMP! Learn how certain types of technology function, explore the inside of computer keyboards and other technologies to learn how circuits, electronics and coding work. Ages 9-12.
- Tennis: Learn tennis fundamentals and play skill-building games. Ages 5-11.
- Virtual Reality: Design virtual spaces and 3D objects, including making a DIY Virtual Viewer. Ages 9-12.
- Volleyball – Girls (Intermediate and Beginner): Improve skills with passing, overhead serving, conditioning, footwork and learn proper court positioning. Grades 5th-7th.

Camps are scheduled throughout the summer, with options for half-day and full-day sessions to accommodate various family needs. Prices are designed to be affordable, ensuring accessibility for the community. For instance, Camp Runamuckus offers both morning and afternoon sessions, with the option to combine for a full-day experience.
