Odessa, TX — Odessa College is excited to announce the launch of Film Night at the Globe, a monthly event series at the historic Globe Theater. The series kicks off for the 2025-2026 season this Friday, August 29, 2025 at 6 p.m., with a free community screening of the classic Raiders of the Lost Ark, a great family-friendly experience just in time to start the Labor Day weekend.
Guests can enjoy free refreshments during the film, followed by a special post-movie discussion led by faculty from Odessa College’s English and Communications Department. This interactive analysis will dive into the film’s cultural significance, storytelling, and enduring impact on cinema.
Film Night at the Globe will take place on the last Friday of every month, with each screening highlighting a film from a different decade. September’s event will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, featuring a film from the 1990s.
“We’re thrilled to invite the community to experience the magic of movies in the Globe Theater,” said Aaron Ganz, director of the Globe Theater. “It’s a fun and engaging way to enjoy cinema, conversation, and community.”
Admission is free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served.
