Odessa, Texas — Odessa College will celebrate the achievements of 14 graduates of its Ford ASSET (Automotive Student Service Educational Training) program with a graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 1, at the Odessa College Sewell Auto Tech facility, located at 2425 E. 8th Street.

The ceremony will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be preceded by a complimentary lunch for graduates, their families, friends, and their respective sponsoring Ford dealerships.

The 14 graduates embarked on their educational journey two years ago, committing to a program that guaranteed them high-demand career opportunities with Ford dealerships upon successful completion. Through the Ford ASSET program, students alternated between classroom learning and paid internships at Ford or Lincoln dealerships over a 24-month period, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and mentorship from industry professionals.

The graduates, already employed by Ford dealerships across West Texas and beyond, represent a partnership between education and industry that addresses the growing demand for highly skilled automotive technicians.
