Each year, the Odessa College Foundation honors outstanding individuals, businesses, and organizations that have made a significant impact on education in the Permian Basin. We invite you to submit nominations for those who exemplify excellence in their commitment to education and community service.
About Dr. Sudip Bose:
Dr. Sudip Bose is a distinguished emergency physician, decorated U.S. Army combat veteran, and educator dedicated to serving the Permian Basin. As an attending physician at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, he has provided critical care during mass casualty events, including the 2019 Midland-Odessa shooting. A former frontline physician in Iraq, he completed the longest combat tour by a military doctor since World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. Dr. Bose is also a leading advocate for veterans’ health, an expert in disaster medicine, and the founder of "The Battle Continues," a nonprofit supporting wounded warriors. His expertise has been featured on CNN, MSNBC, and in national publications, and he currently stars in the Amazon Prime docuseries Desert Doc, highlighting emergency medicine in West Texas.
