Learn about the composition of our planet, its origins, and how it changes over time. A study of the physical and chemical aspects of the Earth's interior and the crust.
Students will study the origin, occurrence, and classification of minerals, rocks structures, and landforms. In addition, the students will learn about the history of life on Earth and how we investigate past life using geological processes.
The geology field includes careers such as a petroleum or civil engineering, engineering geologist, seismologist, or hydrogeologist. The geology program provides students with the requisite knowledge and skills for further study of geology at an upper-level institution.
