OC $75K Dash to Success 2021!
Four Chances to Make History and get YOUR share of $75K in Scholarships and Free Laptops!
For the first time in OC’s 75-year history, total Fall Term enrollment is on track to hit 8,000 students!
In celebration of this historical achievement, Odessa College is awarding $75K in tuition scholarships and free laptops to students registered for 2021 Fall Term 2!
Every student who registers (or who is already registered!) for the 2021 Fall Term 2 will be entered in a series of random drawings to for scholarships and laptops.
This is how it works:
- Students registering for Fall Term 2 classes between October 5thand October 19th will be entered in four random drawings, taking place on Oct. 8th, Oct. 12th, Oct. 15th and Oct. 19th, for a chance to get their share of $75K in Scholarships and laptops.
- All Students who have registered for Fall Term 2 classes before October 5th will also be entered in four random drawings, which will take place on the same dates: Oct. 8th, Oct. 12th, Oct. 15th and Oct. 19th, for a chance to get their share of $75K in Scholarships and laptops.
- Students who do not win a scholarship or laptop will remain in the random drawing pool until either their name is selected, or the final random drawings take place on October 19th.
- Registering earlier in the period between Oct. 5th and Oct. 19th will give a student more chances to be in the random drawings, and more chances to have their name selected to receive a scholarship or free laptop!.
Scholarships and laptops will be awarded to students in these amounts, with these effective dates, at the random drawings on these dates:
- October 8th: Eight (8) $1,000.00 Scholarships to pay tuition for six credit hours of college classes, good for Spring 2022, awarded in a random drawing: two scholarships to new students who register between October 5thand October 19th, and six scholarships for students who previously registered for 2021 Fall Term 2. Eight (8) laptops valued at $800 each, awarded in a random drawing: two laptops to new students who register between October 5th and October 19th, and six laptops for students who previously registered for 2021 Fall Term 2
- October 12th Eight (8) laptops valued at $800 each, awarded in a random drawing: two laptops to new students who register between October 5th and October 19th, and six laptops for students who previously registered for 2021 Fall Term 2. Eight (8) $1,000.00 Scholarships to pay tuition for six credit hours of college classes, good for Spring 2022, awarded in a random drawing: two scholarships to new students who register between October 5thand October 19th, and six scholarships for students who previously registered for 2021 Fall Term 2.
- October 15th: Eight (8) $1,000.00 Scholarships to pay tuition for six credit hours of college classes, good for Spring 2022, awarded in a random drawing: two scholarships to new students who register between October 5thand October 19th, and six scholarships for students who previously registered for 2021 Fall Term 2. Eight (8) laptops valued at $800 each, awarded in a random drawing: two laptops to new students who register between October 5th and October 19th, and six laptops for students who previously registered for 2021 Fall Term 2.
- October 19th: Sixteen (16) laptops valued at $800 each, given away in the final Grand Drawing on October 19th: two laptops to new students who register between October 5th and October 19th, and fourteen laptops for students who previously registered for 2021 Fall Term 2. Sixteen (16) $1,000.00 Scholarships, given away in the final Grand Drawing on October 19th to pay tuition for six credit hours of college classes, good for Spring 2022, awarded in a random drawing: two scholarships to new students who register between October 5thand October 19th, and fourteen scholarships for students who previously registered for 2021 Fall Term 2

Odessa College will use a proprietary software to randomly draw eligible student names. The proprietary software is currently used in the Drive to Success and 30 for 30 programs for random selection and finalists drawing. Winner’s first name and last initial will be posted across the college’s social media platforms, and winners will be contacted by Academic Partnerships regarding acquisition of laptops and distribution of scholarships.
