The Wrangler Volleyball team wrapped up another historic season this past weekend at the NJCAA D1 National Tournament. In their second consecutive trip to the National Tournament, Odessa went 2-2 overall and finished sixth.

The Wranglers opened play on Thursday with a four-set victory over Yavapai (AZ) (25-10, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23) to advance to the Quarterfinals that evening against Tyler (TX).

Despite finding themselves in an early deficit down two sets to none, the Wranglers were able to force a fifth set but couldn't quite pull out the victory falling to Tyler in a five-set thriller (18-25, 16-25, 25-19, 25-20, 12-15).

The lost to Tyler, sent Odessa into the consolation bracket where they faced Florida Southwestern.  The Wranglers won that match in straight sets (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) advancing to the fifth-place game against Blinn (TX).

Blinn would go on to win that match in four sets (22-25, 25-18, 13-25, 23-25) as the Wranglers would take home sixth place at the 2021 NJCAA D1 National Volleyball Championship.

For her outstanding performance throughout the tournament, sophomore Emery Judkins was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Odessa finished the season 26-4 overall.
