Network Maintenance

We will be doing MAJOR network maintenance starting Saturday, March 9th at 7:00pm after the end of the Spring 1 term. Most systems (Colleague, Blackboard, Network File Shares) will be taken offline so we can do backups during the night.
Starting at around 5:00am on Sunday the 10th we will shut down the entire network including the college web site, the campus telephone system, E-mail, and all computer resources. This also includes the network at extension campuses and Century Commons.
All systems will remain offline while we upgrade the main core equipment through most of Sunday. We hope to have everything back online late Sunday afternoon or evening. We will send a message once the network is back online and operational via OC Student and Staff emails.
Please mark these dates on your calendar.
This maintenance is being done to replace a central component of our network that has reached its end-of-life.
Because the campus phone system will not be operational, please contact OC Police Department at 432-238-6334 for assistance on campus. In case of an emergency, call 911.

Which systems will go offline and when:
Saturday night (March 9th) at 11:00 pm
  • Colleague and all student information systems (including payments) will be shut down.

Sunday morning (March 10th) at 5:00 am

  • Everything else including: Blackboard, E-mail for college faculty and staff (student e-mail (Gmail) will stay up), college web site, and the campus telephone system.
