The Odessa College Wrangler Softball Team captured the NJCAA Region 5 West Tournament title on Monday afternoon with an 11-2 victory over Midland College.
With the win over Midland, Odessa will head to the NJCAA D1 World Series for the third consecutive year.
The Wranglers continued their dominate streak over their WJCAC opponents scoring 30 runs while giving up only 3 in the three tournament games. Odessa defeated Frank Phillips 11-1 in game one, Midland 8-0 in the semi-finals, and Midland 11-2 in the championship game.
Odessa extended their winning streak to 29 games and is currently 51-4 overall this season heading into the National Tournament.
The 2023 NJCAA D1 Softball World Series will be played in Oxford, AL at Choccolocco Park May 23rd through the 27th. The tournament bracket will be released on Friday along with more tournament information.
