Disability Awareness Event

Patio of the Odessa College Saulsbury Campus Center (weather permitting – if not, then the event will be moved inside the Saulsbury Center)


The Odessa College Office of Special Populations, along with the Permian Basin Workforce Center, invite the general public to visit with representatives from a variety of service agencies at the Disabilities Awareness Day event. Participating agencies will provide information about the services they offer to meet specific needs of disabled persons and/or their families.

The event is free and open to the Permian Basin community, as well as OC students, faculty and staff.

Agencies participating will be Permiacare, Amerigroup, Advocate for Blindness, Aphasia Center, Ector County Health Department, Texas A&M Family and Community Outreach, Maximus Insurance, Texas State Library and Archives - Talking Book Program from Austin, MDA, Ector County Voters' office, Aging and Disability Department, Ellen Noel Museum, The WELL Hand of Grace, Harmony Home Children's Advocacy Center, WTxVA Health Center System - Big Spring, 211 Texas, WorkForce Center - Rehab Services, Bynum School, ESight, PenProject, Midland Hospice, H&HS Commissions of San Angelo, Permian Basin Multiple Sclerosis, Red Cross, SHARE, Goodwill, MARC, Family Health Clinic, ProCare, LINKS and more.
