What distinguishes the nation’s top community colleges, and which one will be named the best?

Join us on May 18 at 1-2 pm ET to find out the winner and runners-up of the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Since 2011, the Aspen Prize has been the nation’s signature recognition of high achievement among America’s community colleges—institutions that Dr. Miguel Cardona called “the nation’s best kept secret” for improving college access. For the first time, the Aspen Prize ceremony will be open to the public.

Odessa College is proud to be among the 10 finalists for the #AspenPrize for Community College Excellence, to be celebrated on May 18 at the virtual award ceremony hosted by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program.

The virtual event will showcase how the best community colleges achieve equitable student success outcomes, the difference they make to our nation’s communities, and how they change lives. Our featured speaker will be US Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.
