Student Email
All Odessa College students have a student email account created for them when they register for their first class. Your @myoc.odessa.edu email account is powered by Google and set up through Gmail.

What do I use to log in?

  • Username: initials of your first & last name followed by your OC ID number without the leading zeros. (ex, Name: John Doe & student ID is 00123456 then your username = jd123456.)

  • Password: is the UPPER CASE then lower case characters "OCoc" plus the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN). (ex, SSN = 123-45-6789, password = OCoc6789)

Microsoft Office 365
As a student with Odessa College, you can get Microsoft Office for free! Microsoft Office 365 gives students online versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote. It also provides 1TB of online storage (for free) and access to OneDrive (Microsoft's cloud space).

Get Started:

  • Go to the Microsoft 365 Website (link on the right)
  • Provide your @myoc.odessa.edu email address in the "Get Started" box and follow onscreen instructions from there!

Respondus Lockdown Browser / Monitor
LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Blackboard. While using RLDB, students will be unable to copy, print, access other applications, or visit other websites during an online exam.

Get Started:

  • Go to the DOWNLOAD link (on the right) for Respondus Lockdown Browser. This link is an institution-specific link.
  • Download the browser software and install it to any computer where you will be taking your Blackboard tests from.
  • Launch the browser by clicking on the new Respondus icon that appears on your device desktop. Launching the browser will open up to the Odessa College Blackboard login page. Log into Blackboard with your normal Blackboard login information and proceed to your course to take your test.

Films on Demand
Some courses at Odessa College use videos from our Films on Demand service. In order to view videos linked from Films on Demand, you will need to provide a username and password to log in. See below for more detailed information.
