Murry H. Fly Library was named for Dr. Murry H. Fly, who was instrumental in the founding of the college and served as the first president of Odessa College. The present building was built in 1962 with a 3-story addition completed in 1975, which gave the building a total of 35,756 square feet. The building houses the library, learning center, and media center as well as offices, classrooms, and meeting rooms. To reflect these additions, the name was changed to Murry H. Fly Learning Resources Center. The Learning Resources Center is presently housed on the first two floors of the building.
