What is Upward Bound?
Upward Bound is a
federally funded TRIO program with one goal: to increase the rates
at which participants enroll in and graduate from institutions of
higher education. The
Odessa College Upward Bound program is 100% federally funded at
$287,880.00 annually. The
contents of this website were developed under a grant from the
Department of Education. However, those contents do not
necessarily represent the policy of the Department of Education,
and you should not assume endorsement by the Federal Government. The Department
of Education funds our program to serve 60 students from 11 area
schools. All
participants receive year-round academic and personal assistance
such as:
· Tutoring
· -Assistance
in applying for financial aid
· 6
Week Summer Program at Odessa College
· Fee
waivers for SAT and ACT
· Career
& Personal Counseling
· Saturday
enrichment classes
· Stipends
provided for attendance and GPA increases
