Purpose
S3O is a student
organization designed to enhance the social, cultural, and educational
experiences of the students who participate in the Student Support
Services (SSS) program. S3O provides opportunities for student
leadership experiences and acts as a student outlet for students to come
together and raise funds to provide services for the SSS program and to
perform community service.

Membership
- Membership of S3O is open
to any of the 160 students who participate in the Student Support
Services program.
- Membership in S3O shall
be composed only of currently registered students at Odessa College.
- Students on disciplinary
probation or suspension from college may not be a member.
- Members must maintain
during the time of their membership a cumulative 2.0 GPA on the
4.0 scale.
- If a member's GPA falls
below a 2.0 GPA, the member's participation in S3O events will be up to
the discretion of the SSS staff and the S3O officers after they have met
to discuss the situation.
- A student will be placed
on the S3O membership roll after attending two meetings and helping at
any S3O sponsored event or at the S3O President's and SSS director's
discretion.
- This organization shall
not discriminate on the basis of sex, color, religion, national origin,
disability, or age.
Rewards
- New Members receive an S30 T-shirt and backpack upon satisfying all
membership criteria.
- S30 members are eligible for the textbook lending program.
- S30 members are also eligible for scholarships available only to
active S30 members.
- S30 members are eligible to attend the S30 planning trip held
annually at the end of the spring semester.
