What is PLATO Web Learning Environment?
PLATO Web Learning Environment (PLE) provides browser-based PLATO
instructional content, assessments, and instructional
management that can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week anywhere there is an internet connection.
PLATO Web has Academic Pathways such as:
- COMPASS Test Preparation Learning Path
- GED Learning Paths
- Test of Essential Academic Skills Learning Path (TEAS)
with a Tutorial, Application & Mastery section
- American History
- Biology
- Chemistry
- English
- Geography
- Geometry
- Life Science
- Physical Science
- U.S. Government
- Reading
- Social Studies
- Trigonometry
- Vocabulary & Reading Comprehension
- World History
- Writing in the Workplace
Generally, all of these Pathways have a Tutorial, Application, and Mastery Test portion that the user can go through.
How do I get started?
To get access to PLATO Web, call the Success Center at 335-6878
or fill out a Help Desk Form to get a username and password set up.
Once you are set -up in the system, follow the steps
below:
- Go to https://ple.platoweb.com/
- Account Login: oc213
- Username: Initials of first & last
name followed by your OC ID without the
leading zeros. e.g.: Name: John Doe
& student ID is 00123456 then your
username = jd123456
- Password: is the lower case
characters "oc" plus the last 4 digits
of SS# e.g.: SSN = 123-45-6789,
password = oc6789
