The Student Learning Center offers computer lab access during regular business hours. Computer access is available on a walk-in basis, and there is no need to make an appointment. All printing is free to Odessa College students needing to print course related material.

The Center provides Lab Assistants who will assist with any technical difficulties or computer related issues which may arise while students are using lab computers.

Student Responsibilities

• Students are allowed to bring a drink with a lid into the computer labs. However, food is not allowed in the computer labs at any time.
• Students are required to treat the computer lab as a study area and keep the noise to a minimum.
• Students are to exit the Center at five minutes prior to the posted closing time.
• Students must bring a disk or other storage device on which to save their work. The Center computers do not save files. Frequent saving of files is necessary to avoid losing data in the event of a power failure.
• Students are required to sign in upon entering the Center and sign out when exiting.

The Open Access Lab is available to any current Odessa College student. All computers in this lab have 250 MB zip drives, floppy drives, and front mounted USB ports. This lab provides free printing to all Odessa College students.

The Basic Skills Lab offers Odessa College students an excellent opportunity to improve their basic skills.  In this lab, students can access Plato Basic Skills tutorials and Rosetta Stone software for basic English and Spanish skills. Workshops are also offered in this lab by the basic skills specialist throughout each semester.

Important Information:
All computers in the labs temporarily save documents to the hard drives. If you save anything to the computers, it will be erased the next time the computer restarts.
