The psychology/sociology
department offers fresman- and sophmore-level course in psychology
and sociology with a wide selection for both displines. The science
of psychology studies human developement and behavior throughout the
lifespan, learning, thinking and mood states, gender differences,
and relationships. Psychology/sociology majors may choose between
an associate of arts (A.A.) or an associate of science (A.S.) degree.
The science of
sociology studies the multitude of social and cultural influences
that are significant to the develpement of the individual over his/her
lifetime.
Psychology/sociology
majors are encoraged to oganize their degree palns with the assistance
and advice of the department chair (432/335-6555) and academic
counselors. it is the responsibility of the student to forecast
the transferability
of his/her degree plan to university curricula.
