Internet Search Engines

Many of you have experience using the Internet for research, so this information will be familiar to you. If you have not used the Internet for research, please take time to read through this information.

To use an Internet search engine, go to the Internet serach engine site and type in key words or a question. Most search engines will list matching sites with a brief synopsis of the information there. Click on those sites that have the closest match to the information you are seeking.

One of my favorites to start with is www.google.com. Click on "Advanced Search", then type in  key words and you will get many possibilities. Click on some and see which ones help you the most.

Another popular search engine is: yahoo.com

Another good source of information is located in the navigational menu to the left. The Online Psychology Resources links to the McGraw Hill psychology pages where you can find additional links on any number of helpful sources.

Also, each television and cable station has an Internet site where you can follow up on the information that you watch.
