Anticipate, identify and evaluate specific conditions and practices.

Several skills and activities are required to identify hazardous conditions and knowledge and/or activities or the lack of both.  Typical functions may include  packaging  or developmental inspections, accident investigations analysis, and analysis of individual tasks.  Therefore, a good bit of knowledge in plotting charts, and graphs and sending on-line is especially valuable.

A safety professional must be able to analyze events, conditions and behaviors in order to explain why they work a certain way and determine how to change them.  Deductive reasoning and creativity are key skills in accomplishing this function.
