Weekly Routine:
    1.  Complete the weekly discussion board
    2.  Complete the assignment (homework or test) for that week

Discussion Boards: 10%
You are required to post a discussion once a week on the discussion boards and respond to one other students comments.  Your post will be related to the topic for that weeks discussion.  Every Monday a new topic will be posted and you must respond in the manner you are asked and then respond to one other students post.   To post a discussion click on the discussion board button, click on the topic you want to post about, and then click on new thread.  Type in the subject and in the message type in your post.  If you want to respond to someone click on the topic and you will see all the post.  Click on the post and then click on the reply button.  All reading information for Discussion Boards is found under the course information button in MyMath lab.

NOTE:  If you have taken a previous course with me there is NOT any study plan now.  It is built into the homework assignments now.

    Homework:  30%
Every section has two homework assignments (one labeled lecture and practice and the other label by the section).  Both must be done.  They are both counted equally as homework.  There are weekly assignments and these must be done the week they are due.  No late work is accepted.

You can get in and out of these sections also.  When you log out the software will record everything you did and let you pick up where you
    left off.
      1.  Log into your course
      2.  Click on the 'Homework' button on the left
      3.  Click on the assignment you want to work on
      4.  Do the homework.   When you finish the homework assignment completely then hit the 'submit homework' button to turn it in.  The
homework will be automatically graded and recorded in your grade book.    When you are working in the homework you must
click on the next problem number to get to the next problem (for example if you just did #15 it doesn't automatically go to #16, you
must click on the little circle for #16 to get that problem)
Only the homework that is available for you to work on will show up.  The others will show up on the day you are allowed to
start them.  Some problems you will notice have a video camera next to them.  If you click on the camera, you will get the video lecture again, but only the part where they talk about that type of problem.

    Test: 45%

You are not allowed to log in and out of the test.  Once you start a test you have to finish it.  If you log out you will be given an incomplete and will   not be allowed to answer the rest of the problems.  Test are timed.  You have 90 minutes to complete the test except for the Final which you will have 2 1/2 hours.  The final is comprehensive and can only be taken at Odessa College in the Math Tutoring lab.

     1.  Log into your course
     2.  Click on the 'Test' button on the left
     3.  Click on the test you want to take under 'Assigned Test'.  If a test has an A or B beside it then it is a practice test not the graded
test.  You are welcomed to take the practice test, but they don't count towards your grade.
Remember you have 90 minutes on each test and 2 1/2 hours on final exam and can not get out until you are finished.

   Final Exam:  15%

Final is proctored and you must come to OC to take the final.  Final exam will be given in ET 120.  Failure to take final will result in you receiving an F for the course.
