How To Register

You need to register to enter CourseCompass for the first time. After you register, you can log in to CourseCompass to use it.

Before you register, make sure you have:
  • A valid email address that you check regularly
  • The course ID for your CourseCompass course, which you receive from your instructor
  • A student access code, a valid credit card, or a PayPal account
    Note: If you are enrolling in another CourseCompass course based on the same textbook, you may not need to provide an access code or pay for access. See Below
     

You can register in one of two ways:

  • Using a student access code
     
  • Buying access online

    You can buy access for some courses online during registration with a credit card or PayPal account.

To register for CourseCompass and enroll in your course:

Registering your software.

ü  Go to www.coursecompass.com

ü  Choose register under the student section

ü  Click Next on this screen

ü  Enter your course ID number ____Fall:  evans83582_____________  
                                                                                                  

Click Find Course 

Verify this information is correct.  Contact your instructor if you think it is not before moving on.    

Click Access Code 

ü  Enter Your Access Code found in your MyMath lab package

Click Next

ü  Read License Agreement and click accept

ü  Choose Yes if you have used MyMath lab before and enter your username and password

Choose No if you have never used MyMath lab before or can not remember your username and password

ü  If you choose yes, check that all your personal information is still correct and make changes where needed.

If you choose no, create a login name and password for yourself.

Click next

ü  Enter name, e-mail address, country, school zip (79764) and select your school

Click next

ü  Select a security question and answer

Click next

ü  You are finished.   Print this page for your records

ü  Click Log in now

Once you log in and enter your class, you will need to run the Browser Check to make sure you have all the plug-ins you need on your computer.  You can do this by clicking on the blue words Run Browser Check on the opening screen.

To enroll in another course if you are using the same textbook: (if you are not using the same textbook, skip these steps and look below for your instructions)

You do not need a new student access code to enroll in a course based on the same textbook as your current course. In any of the following situations, all you need to enroll is a new Course ID from your instructor:

  1. Log in to www.coursecompass.com.  Go ahead and log in and get the first screen that has your old class listed.  Look right above this old class.
  2. Click the Enroll in a New Course button, and then click Continue.
  3. Re-enter your password and click Log In.
  4. On the Account Summary page, click the Enroll in a New Course button.
  5. Enter the new Course ID from your instructor.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete enrollment.

If you are having trouble logging in look at the tip below. 

TIP: When you try to log in and enroll in the next semester of your course, you may see a message saying that you cannot log in to CourseCompass because your most recent course has ended. As long as you are enrolling in another course based on the same textbook you used last semester, you can still log in and enroll in the new course, as follows:

  1. Click the link contained in the message to your personal account summary.
  2. Enter the same login name and password you used last semester, and click Log In.
  3. On the Account Summary screen, click Enroll in a New Course.
  4. Enter your instructor's Course ID for the new course and click Next .
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete enrollment in your new course.

To enroll in a new MyMathLab course that uses a different book than your old class:

  1. Go to www.coursecompass.com and click the Register button for students.
  2. On the Before You Start page, click Next.
  3. Click Yes, Look Me Up, and enter your existing login name and password.
  4. Enter your new student access code.
  5. Enter your school zip code, select the country you live in, and click Next.
  6. Enter your new Course ID and click Next.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete enrollment.

 

You are done registering.  You will not need to repeat this process anymore.  You can access the program from any computer that has internet access.  You will go to www.coursecompass.com and now click log-in instead of register.  If you are on a computer for the first time you will have to load the plug-ins before you can start your work.  Below is the steps to load these.  Remember you only need to load them once, but they have to be loaded on the computer you are working on.  Yes, you can load them on several computers if you plan to use more than one computer (ie.  home and work).
