Math 0100 Math Refresher Course

	Materials needed: My Math Test access kit from the bookstore or ordered online and good internet access. You may use the computers in the Math Lab, ET 120.
	Pacing: Once activated, your access is good for 16 weeks. You will begin by taking the COMPASS Numerical Skills/Prealgebra prep test online. The My Math Test site will create a customized study plan for you based on your test results. You will work in the study plan to improve your skills before retesting. If you score a 75 or better, you can then take the COMPASS Algebra test. A study plan will be created for you based on your test results. The goal is to improve your skills. You will test again at the end of the course to see how much you improved your math skills.
	Why use MyMathTest? You can: 1. Take practice tests created to help you strengthen your math skills 2. Practice questions come with tutorial help, including videos, step-by-step instruction, and other types of study aids. 3. Practice the concepts you still need help with in the personalized study plan
	To register: 1. Go to www.mymathtest.com 2. Click Register if you already have the access code OR buy now if you are going to purchase online. 3. Follow the directions given. You will enter the school zip code 79764, select Odessa College, select my name Handley, and the Math Refresher Course. Below are the icons you will see as you register.

How to Register for Welcome to My Math Test

1.) Go to www.mymathtest.com and choose

3.) Locate your MyMathTest student Access Kit which looks like this.

Open it and find the code under the tear off strip.

4.) Enter the code in the boxes that look like this

Enter your School’s zip code ___79764____ and your country then choose

5.) Enter your name and email address. Choose your school’s name from the dropdown menu. Finally create your login name and password. Make sure your password is 8 characters long and includes a least one number.

	Personalized Study Plan: An online Study Plan lets you study on their own or work in your school’s refresher course. Based on your initial test results, MyMathTest generates a personalized Study Plan that shows at a glance which topics you need to practice. The Study Plan links directly to interactive, tutorial questions that you can use for practice. The questions include guided solutions and multimedia learning aids to give you extra help when you need it.
	Tutorial help: Practice questions include multimedia resources, such as videos and animations, which help you answer the questions. For example, you could watch a video of an instructor giving a portion of a lecture or look at an animation that demonstrates a concept.
