You must purchase an access code for My Math Lab. The code
may be purchased at the Odessa College bookstore or online with a credit or
debit card at www.coursecompass.com. If you are a VCT or OC Global student, you should purchase the
code online. You do not have to purchase the textbook. It is included in pdf form online.
If you are repeating this course, you may not have to
purchase a new access code. Instead of following the registration instructions
below, log in to My Math Lab just like you did last time you took the course.
Click on enroll in a new class and follow the instructions given. You will
still need the course ID given below. Email me if you have questions about
this.

Registering
your software.
Click Find Course
Verify this information is
correct. Contact your instructor if
you think it is not before moving on.
Click Access Code
Click Next
Choose No if you have never used MyMath lab before or can not remember your username and
password
If you choose no, create a login name
and password for yourself.
Click next

Once
you log in and enter your class, you will need to run the Browser Check to make
sure you have all the plug-ins you need on your computer. You can do this by clicking on the blue
words Run Browser Check on the opening screen.
If
you have trouble registering in My Math Lab, watch the orientation

Instructions
for Completing Course Assignments and Tests:
a.
Click on Chapter Contents
b.
Click on the Chapter (start with Chapter 1)
c.
Click on the Section
d.
Click on the Video Lecture (Watch and take
notes)
e.
Click on the tracked Tutorials (These are not
graded and do not count as part of your homework assignments. Do as many
problems as you need in order to be able to do the graded homework.)
NOTE: It is also possible to access the tutorials by clicking on
the Study Plan button and choosing the appropriate chapter and section from the
drop down menu.
a.
Log in to My Math Lab at www.coursecompass.com
b.
Click on Do Homework
c.
Click on the section you want to work on. (Start
with 1.1)
d.
Do the homework. When you finish a problem click on Check
Answer. Then click on the number for the next problem.
e.
When you finish the assignment click on the Save button.
f.
Continue as above for the rest of the sections
in the chapter.
g.
You must do the homework assignments in order.
You will not be able to access homework 1.2 until you have completed homework
1.1.
a.
Finish all the homework for the chapter. You
will not be able to access a chapter test until you have finished all the
homework for that chapter.
b.
Log in to My Math Lab at www.coursecompass.com
c.
Click on Take a Test
d.
There is a practice test provided for each
chapter. These may be attempted three times and should be used to study for the
test. The practice tests do not count as part of your course grade

The Chapter tests may only be attempted once.
a.
After you have finished all the Graded Homework
and Tests, you are ready to take the Final Exam. You may work the practice
final as many times as you want. It is not part of your grade.
b.
To take the final exam, OC students should take
a picture ID, a calculator, pencil, and eraser to ET 120. Show your ID to the
person at the desk and tell them you are there to take Dr. StreetŐs final exam
for Math 1314. They will get you started on the test. VCT and OC Global
students should contact me when ready to take the final.
c.
You will be allowed to use a formula sheet (one page,
handwritten) and a calculator on the final.
NOTE:
The Final Exam is proctored and must be taken in ET 120 or a pre-approved
testing center. If you do not take the Final Exam, you will receive an F for
the course.
