Course Information:

Technology:  You must have a valid e-mail address.  All work is done on the internet, so you must have an internet connection.  If you do not, you may use the computers in the Math Lab which is located in ET 120.  You may also use any other computer as long as there is internet access.  Make sure you down load the plug-ins if you are using a computer for the first time.

Pacing:  This course is not a self-paced course.  Deadlines are per chapter and the whole chapter must be done by the deadline.  The test must be taken in the time frame provided.  You need to stay up with the course.  If you wait until the last minute, you won't get everything done.  This will also help you learn the material better.  You may begin the next chapter once you have completed a chapter.

You are able to get in and out of the homework as needed.  The system will save everything you did and you can pick up where you left off.

You cannot get out of a test until you are through.  If you get out of the test it will grade everything you left undone as wrong.  You have two chances to take the midterm tests.  You only have one chance to  take the final exam.  TESTS ARE TIMED.

Daily Routine for Assignments:

5.  Final Exam
The final exam will be a proctored exam.  For those of you taking this course as a student registered at Odessa College, you will be required to take the exam in our Math department.  Please bring your ID with you so that you may be given the password to complete the exam.  VCT students will need to find a testing center near them (most likely at the college nearest you).  Once you have located a testing center, please notify me so that I can make arrangements for your final exam.

Grades
You can always view your grade.  If you are not sure an assignment went through, you can look at your grade at it will show if it went through or will not show up, if it didn't.  You also can view your grade on test immediately after you take it.

From the Announcements page, click on My Gradebook.  Mark the chapter you want to look at and whether you want to look at homework, test, or all together (overview).
