Ask a Librarian
Need help from a Reference Librarian in locating information, suggesting resources, understanding netLibrary? For any type of library information click on Ask Librarian. We try to respond by the next working day.

NetLibrary
Through NetLibrary you can access nearly 38,000 electronic books which can be read on your computer monitor. Selected passages can be printed out.

To check out NetLibrary books, an account must be set up from the OC campus network. Librarians can create the account for you (you can change your assigned password later, if you wish).

Click on Ask a Librarian. Send an e-mail to a librarian, and say that you want to create a netLibrary account. Give us your name, student ID#, and your e-mail address. Please provide a security question and answer in case you forget the password (such as - Question: "What is my aunt's name?" Answer: "Beulah").

Within one working day you should receive a response from a librarian and also a confirmation e-mail from netLibrary.

Databases
Databases - Odessa College subscribes to around 65 databases which feature newspapers and magazine articles, encyclopedic entries, statistics, and more. As of May 2002 the full number of databases can be accessed from computers on the Odessa College network (includes Pecos Center). All databases can be accessed from off-campus.

OC Periodical Holdings
Click here for an alphabetical listing of all magazines owned by the LRC. If we own a periodical article that you need for your research we will be happy to FAX, e-mail or US mail it to you. Contact the Head of Serials, Patricia Quintero at 432/335-6350 or pquintero@odessa.edu. Allow 3 working days for this service.
