Century Commons' Computer Maintenance and Updates
Century Commons has a dedicated fiber connection with
3MB bandwidth for accessing the internet, including
the Odessa College main site and Blackboard. To ensure
that you have the fastest possible connection, there
are a few things that are necessary to ensure the security
of your computer and to enhance your connection speed.
- 1. Keep your computer up to date with the latest
patches from Microsoft.
- Keep your computer virus free by making sure that
your AntiVirus software is up to date.
- Keep Malware and Spyware off of your computer by
having current, up to date AntiSpyware software in
place.
Students must also comply with Odessa College's computer use policy for access to the Internet. This can be found at the following site: OC Computer Policy. Residents who are found to be in violation of OC Computer Policy are subject to disciplinary action by the Director of Student Life.
