Grants and Federal Projects

Department's Mission Statement:
The mission of the Grants Development Office is to support the current and future needs of the college through the acquisition of external funds.
The Grants Department serves two purposes:

  1. To research, solicit, prepare and submit applications and to provide directed and ongoing efforts to secure for external funding for:
    • Instructional programs
    • Professional development
    • Workforce education programs
    • Increase educational opportunities through expanded technology and distance education
    • Expanded educational opportunities for residents of counties within the College's service area.
    • recruitment and increased student enrollment
    • removal of barriers to student success
    • provision of student services
    • development and implementation of effective student retention
    • Scholarship Assistance
    • Institutional expansion

  2. As a requirement of the Southern Accreditation of Colleges and Schools, the Grants Office will serve as a clearinghouse to track all grants submitted, department it is connected with (whether or not we received funding), and the amount requested/funded, and accompanying reports.
