Announcements

  • The first day of class is Monday, December 27 for the Midwinter 2010-2011 session. Before starting the course please fill out BOTH the Student Information Bio, then fill out the Web Checklist (click the blue text to open the two questionnaires). Due by 10 pm on Monday, Dec. 27 5 bonus points for each. 
     
     

  • Students  will not be able to login into the course until the first class day. Login instructions to Blackboard are located at http://www.odessa.edu/virtual/bblogin.htm.
    Your Blackboard user name/login is your first and  middle initial and last name (ex." bkdille") and your password is oc+last 4 numbers of your social security number (ex.: "oc0138")
     

  • To make sure you receive all emails sent out by the instructor, as soon as you log-on to Blackboard, please update your email address by following these steps:

    • Click the “Tools” button on the left-hand side of the page
    • Choose “Personal Information”
    • Next click “Edit Personal Information”
    • Change your e-mail address and hit “Submit” at the bottom of the page
    DO NOT change your Name or Student ID

     

  • NEW OC Email Policy: All OC students MUST use their OC student email address for all OC business and courses.  All emails the instructor sends out will be to students' OC student email addresses.  After Tuesday, December 28, only student emails using the OC email address will be answered.  To access your student email, go to the OC webpage at http://www.odessa.edu/ and in the upper right hand corner you will find "Quick Links" and beneath that the "Blackboard" and "Student Email" links.

  • All students are strongly encouraged to attend the following Orientation & Blackboard Training session in the LRC (Library) Student Success Center:

         Monday, December 27 at 12 noon-20 bonus points 

  •  
    • Go to the Blackboard Discussion Board and post your personal bio by 10 pm Tues.. Dec. 28-5 bonus points

    • Send email to instructor by 10 pm Tues.. Dec. 28--5 bonus points

    • Instructor suggestion: click on all of buttons to left, read and print out information & put in 3-ring binder for future reference during the semester.

    • 20 bonus points for voters card--proof of voter registration. (fax to 335-6667 or email as an attachment)

  • The first 4 exams will be taken online.
  • THE FINAL EXAM MUST BE TAKEN AT THE ODESSA COLLEGE STUDENT STUDENT CENTER--(1st floor LRC)

  • VCT STUDENTS CAN TAKE THE FINAL IN A PROCTORED TESTING SITE ON THEIR HOME CAMPUS
    VCT students MUST provide the instructor with all necessary information:

    LATE ASSIGNMENT POLICY

    Late assignments will be accepted up to 1 days (24 hours) after the due date.  No exceptions.
