Steps to Success

Step 2

  • Go to http://fafsa.ed.gov/ and fill out the Free Application for Federal Aid.

  • OC's FICE School Code for FAFSA is 003596.

Step 2

  • If you have attended a post-secondary institution, official transcripts from each institution must be on file in the Admissions Office.
  • If you have not attended a post-secondary institution, an official copy of your high school transcript or a copy of your GED certificate must be on file in the Admissions or Registrar's Office.

* Receipt of your transcripts/GED by the Admissions Office must be verified through the Student Financial Services Office.

Additional Documentation

Some additional documentation may be requested from you including:

  • Signed copies of most recent federal income tax returns (Student and Parent)
  • Copy of divorce decree
  • Separation affidavit
  • Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (Resident Alien/Citizenship papers)
  • Verification worksheet (Independent or Dependent) — See Forms section under Apply
  • Verification of economic sufficiency — See Forms section under Apply
  • Copy of signed social security card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Other

As federal regulations change, additional documentation may be required.

Applicationsfor Financial Aid will not be considered until all application requirements are complete and on file in the Student Financial Services Office at Odessa College.
