The EMSP department will not accept any incomplete
applications.
Emergency Medical Technican (EMT)
- 18 years of age
- Clean criminal record history
- Have completed or be able to complete the Hepatitis
B vaccine series within the first week of class
- Complete the OC
admissions application
- Receive approval from the EMS department
Paramedic
- Transfer students must complete the OC
admissions application
- The applicant must be currently certified as a
Texas EMT-B or EMT-I
- Print and read the Emergency
Medical Services Application Instruction Letter.
- Print, read and complete Application
for Admission to Emergency Medical Services Professional
Paramedic .
- Print and read MCH
Health Occupation Program form. All Immunization
on the form except for the Tuberculosis Screening
must be current and completed prior to submitting
admission packet. (Tuberculosis Screening may be
completed after being accepted into the program)
- Place
all required information and forms in a manila
folder labeled with name and telephone number and
submit to department secretary, at the Emergency
Services Technology Building.
PLEASE NOTE:
Application to the Odessa College
Paramedic program is competitive. Applications will be accepted at any
time during the year. However, if the application
is more than 90 days old the student must contact
the EMS department and update all relevant information
no later than 45 days prior to their desired entry
date to be considered for admission into the program.
All active applications on file will be reviewed and
letters of acceptance will be sent out approximately
30 days prior to the start of class. The EMS department
will not accept any incomplete applications.
